Sonicrafter F80 4.2 Amp Oscillating Multi-Tool
The Rockwell AW400 Dutch Oscillating Sonic rafter Multi-Tool provides a choice of two oscillating angles: 5. 0 degrees (Wood setting) and 3. 4 degrees (Metal setting). Choose the 5. 0 degree oscillating angle when projects require fast, aggressive cuts and quick results, or the 3. 4 degree angle for precision and continuous control.

Though a bout of indecision I ended up with both a Factory-Reconditioned Dremel 6300-02L-RT 120-Volt Multi-Max Oscillating Kit and a Rockwell Sonicrafter - my intent is to return one. This is some thoughts on the pros and cons of each for a home user. I purchased both through Amazon - the Multi-max reconditioned at $60 (normal price …

Tried a bunch of "multi tools" before buying the sonicrafter
I make use of the soni-crafter and have used the bosch blades in them. They may cost more but they out perform and last at least 5 times longer. The only problem I have incountered so far is having to order more of the velcrow sanding pads for it as it operates at a very much higher oscillating frequency then most sanders.

Multimaster is this (or the Sonicrafter) worth the $$ | Page …
ClutchCargo: I'd like to say that your point regarding "break-in" is worth noting regarding the Sonicrafter and perhaps with some patience I'd have gotten past that issue. I'll say this about the Sonicrafter, even though I used it briefly it definitely felt sturdy and the blades seemed on a par with the ridiculously expensive Fein blades.
